What’s good, Mod Squad?

Okay, okay…. stop saying stuff.

You know what’s really good? Sam Bock’s art!

This here’s her first comic ever, and it’s uhh-maze-ing. Especially considering that the script is just two people yakkin’ it up. Look at all that movement! Dig that weird little bird thing the bottom of panel one! Feast your greedy little peepers on that close-up in panel four!

Lady’s a natural. It’s her first piece of sequential art, & she already has a better sense of pacing & layout than most comic kids ever will. Lordy, lordy.

And her figures are so damn quirky–directly in between “adorable” & “pathetic”. I’m not sure if I want to hold them, or take them out behind the shed & bludgeon them with a spade until they stop fidgeting and crying.

You know what I’m grateful for, this Thanksgiving? SAM (mother fucking) BOCK, that’s what.
